Remove everything, no questions.
Three self-service ways to remove your data from AutoGhost. All take effect immediately.
Option 1: Delete everything (recommended)
From the AutoGhost app on your phone:
- Open AutoGhost
- Tap the Settings tab (bottom navigation)
- Scroll to the Data section
- Tap Delete My Data
- Confirm the destructive action in the alert dialog
What gets deleted: All on-device data (drive history, achievements, streaks, settings, blocked-app selections). Your server-side support record (name + email + random device ID). Your leaderboard entry, if opted in.
What is kept: Nothing. Your account is gone.
Option 2: Opt out of the leaderboard only
If you only want to remove your entry from the Global Leaderboard but keep using the app:
- Open AutoGhost
- Tap the Settings tab
- Tap Global leaderboard under the Data section
- Tap Opt Out and confirm
Your leaderboard row (handle + device hash + aggregate stats) is deleted immediately. Your local drive history and app settings remain intact.
Option 3: Email us
If you no longer have the app installed or can't access the in-app option, email us at team@autoghost.org with the subject line Data Deletion Requestand the email address you registered with. We'll delete your server-side records within 7 days and reply to confirm.
If you have a leaderboard handle, mention that in your email so we can delete that row too.
What data does AutoGhost collect?
Server-side (required):
- Name (from registration)
- Email address (from registration)
- Random device identifier (not your hardware ID)
- Subscription state (via RevenueCat — anonymous subscriber ID)
Server-side (opt-in leaderboard only):
- Your chosen public handle
- SHA-256 hash of a device UUID (non-reversible)
- Aggregate stats: total drives, drive time, streak, best streak, badges, level
On-device only (never leaves your phone):
- Motion sensor data (used for driving detection)
- Which apps you've selected to block
- Full individual drive history

Retention
We retain server-side records only for as long as your account is active. Deleting via Option 1 removes them immediately. Opting out of the leaderboard (Option 2) removes just the leaderboard row immediately. Local on-device drive records older than 800 days are automatically aggregated into monthly summaries; individual records are deleted at that point.
